Help on the STATISTICS page
Introduction
Purpose of the STATISTICS page is to provide users with
a tool for outlining their search results and the information
in this database. Special field statistics model enables
users to make statistical analysis on selected search result
in which users are interesting. Advanced Statistics model
can help users to have a general picture on all information
the database provides in the form of table or graph.
How to use the STATISTICS page
1, On the Statistics interface, press the statistics button
at upper part of the page to enter the "Special field statistics".
2, Select a (only one!) set (job) number from the search
history list as target data for statistical analysis.
3, Specify a field name, by which requested statistical
analysis will be done, from the pull-down list. Only one
field name may be selected and analyzed at one time.
4. Press the statistics button to submit the analysis request.
The return of your request will be the frequencies in the
form of table(s) .
5, If many search job results are available to select, you
can use the "first/previous/next/last" to move back and
forth.
6, With "advanced statistics model", you could define the
time range, select your preferred display form ( graph or
table), specify a field from the two selectable fields (applicant's
type or organization) before you submit a statistical request.
Note
1, The Special field statistics function can be used only
after you have submitted at least one search request and
got the result selected.
2, At present, this system is unable to provide statistical
analysis on combined two or more set (job) results.
3, In total, 7 variables can be used to make relevant statistical
analysis, i,e, Applicant Name /Inventor/ Province Code/Country
Code/IPC Class/Main IPC/Sub IPC.
4, The output of statistical analysis is the frequency distribution
of selected field (statistical variable) .
